Nike Zoom Victory 2

2015 Spikes (Middle Distance) from Nike

Manufacturer's Description

An incredibly versatile mid-distance spike that offers the complete package of performance, innovation and speed, the Nike Zoom Victory 2 is the perfect all-rounder for distance events ranging from 800m to 5000m, supplying the kick you crave with the support you need!

As used by the US Olympic Track Team, this elite-level spike is engineered from a single-layer Mono Mesh for outstanding breathability and comfort, while Dynamic Flywires generate a strong and supportive, locked-down fit. There’s also a revised Slip Lasting to counteract internal foot slide and maximize energy conversion through the footbed.

On the outer the Zoom Victory employs a feather-light Phylon Midsole for resilient cushioning and quicker rebound, while the 3/4" Length, Six-Pin Pebax Sole Plate offers enhanced grip and aggressive, responsive lift off the track so you can ditch the chasing pack.

Nike have also streamlined the cleat’s Pyramid Spikes so they offer the perfect blend of speed and stamina, and, as you’d expect with any update, the new Zoom Victory 2 is one of the lightest spikes Nike have ever produced.

Lock in lightning-fast times and score up-tempo performance with the Nike Zoom Victory 2.

Key Features:

Phylon is a full-length midsole foam that delivers lightweight, resilient cushioning.

3/4 length Pebax Plate provides traction and improved comfort on the track.
Contains 6 spike receptacles per shoe.

Lightweight mesh comprises the upper for lightweight breathability.
Flywire over the midfoot is made of high tensile strength fibers layered between TPU and foam for a strong, lightweight, and dynamic fit.
Dynamic Flywire provides necessary support and unmatched fit while reducing the shoes overall weight.
Slip Lasting involves wrapping and stitching the upper in a bootie-like shape before attaching the upper to the midsole which helps promote flexibility and decreases weight.

I used these spikes for a period of time as a train spike (as a 400m runner) but found them to be not only very narrow but too flimsy for my purpose.

Good spikes for running middle/long distance. They are about narrow and won't be comfortable some people with wide feet.
